One for One Chicago is more than a youth program — it’s a lifeline. Founded in 2007, this powerful initiative helps young people on Chicago’s West Side turn determination into opportunity. Serving youth ages 16–24, the program provides paid internships, workforce training, and wrap-around support that build employability, confidence, and leadership from the ground up.

With a 100% retention rate and a growing waitlist, students return year after year—and bring their friends—because One for One feels like home. They find mentors who believe in them, opportunities that match their potential, and a community rooting for their success. Many participants come from neighborhoods facing violence, trauma, and poverty—but through this program, they are rewriting their stories as future leaders and providers for their families.

This summer, 25 teens completed the Keeping Grounded Summer Internship Program, earning fair wages while learning horticulture, financial literacy, and job-readiness skills. Each week, they attended workshops and field trips to local businesses, gaining exposure to careers and experiences many had never imagined possible.

Your support makes this transformation possible. Sponsorships directly fund paid internships, essential life-skill workshops, and the mentorship that turns hope into lifelong success. Every dollar invests in a young person determined to rise—and in the future of Chicago itself.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of dinner, conversation, and impact as we celebrate these remarkable young people and expand opportunities for the next generation on December 9th.
